Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with options for extensions.

Schedule

Day shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months of recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience. The position requires a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and knowledgeable nursing professional who is ready to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a medical/surgical telemetry setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ECG rhythm recognition.
• Manage and respond to dysrhythmias appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience required.
• Active Ohio license or compact state license required at the time of submission.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required.
