Commissioning Manager

Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation to the mission-critical industry, is searching for a Commissioning Manager to join our Montgomery, AL team. We're looking for a hands‑on technical leader with proven commissioning experience in data center or mission‑critical environments, ready to take full ownership of complex commissioning efforts in the field. What You'll Do Develop and manage a comprehensive commissioning plan and integrated schedule covering inspection, startup, testing, and closeout phases Lead commissioning field activities and direct internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring safety compliance with NFPA 70E and LOTO requirements Implement and oversee commissioning management software — BIM360, ACC Build, and CxAlloy — to track documentation and execution Coordinate with the client and client's commissioning agent to define project-specific requirements, test scripts, and turnover documentation Manage technical reviews, including MEP systems, QA/QC coordination, load bank planning, equipment startup, and factory witness testing Act as subject matter expert in design reviews, scope matrix development, budgeting, and script feasibility for high-performance building systems What You Bring 6+ years of experience in commissioning electrical systems in data centers or mission‑critical facilities. Proven experience commissioning data centers or mission-critical facilities — required Strong understanding of power distribution, redundancy, and reliability requirements in data center environments. Familiarity with electrical testing and commissioning tools such as power meters, infrared thermography, and breaker test sets. Experience with commissioning processes, including Level 1-5 commissioning (Cx) per ASHRAE guidelines. Proficiency with AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and other electrical design and analysis software is a plus.
