The assistant will help managing strategic sourcing projects from beginning to end with the ultimate objective of reducing costs for the company.Job Duties:Conduct detailed analyses to support the buyers sourcing decisions and savings projectionsData Entry, Structure and manage daily activities; sample tracking, item set-up (BAAN/Cost System), system record accuracy (BAAN/Cost System), Purchase Order Tracking, Measuring approval samples to specs before giving to designer to approve.Support the buyer Tracking vendor spendMaintain tools and processes to monitor internal/external complianceSupport the buyer in negotiations/communication with new and prospective suppliersAssist with samples, filing, etc.Develop deep understanding of categories being sourcedWrite Purchase Orders and prepare supporting materialsHandle inspection requests/reports, samples, data and QA-QC Buyer assist follow upFiling PO's, component art and Gift WorksheetsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferred or +3 years' experience equivalent2 to 3 years experience as an assistant category manager or involved in project-based strategic sourcing initiatives.Intermediate to advanced MS excel$25.50/hr8am-5pmOakbrook, IL 60523Please send resumes to View email address on click.appcast.io employees of Elite Staffing must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.Elite Staffing, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
