The Opportunity The Inside Sales Manager leads and develops the Customer Service, Design, and Inside Sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture and driving team success. This role will be responsible for daily activities, coaching team members, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment with commercial goals and customer expectations. How You Will Impact Smurfit-Westrock Lead, coach, and develop the team to meet and exceed sales targets. Develop and manage processes to improve communication, effectiveness, and ensure process alignment. Improve speed on new item review process. Monitor team performance through KPIs and dashboards; provide regular feedback and performance reviews. Partner with Area Sales Managers and Commercial Excellence teams to align on customer engagement strategies. Oversee onboarding, training, and development of new team members. Collaborate with HR and Compensation to ensure role clarity, career pathing, and incentive alignment. Drive continuous improvement in processes, leveraging tools and insights to optimize efficiency. Serve as a key point of contact for escalations and complex customer interactions. Support hiring efforts, including interviewing and onboarding new team members. What You Need To Succeed Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of managing and developing successful sales teams. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability leveraging order entry systems, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and reporting systems. Familiarity with Inside Sales operations, purchasing workflows, and customer lifecycle management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. The salary range for this position is $129,375.00 - $215,625.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 15 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
