Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Description: This is a backfill contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The contract will last for 13 weeks with night shifts, specifically from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No call duty is required. The role may require floating between different locations within the facility. The unit comprises a small number of beds and is staffed by a team of healthcare professionals. On the night shift, the staff will typically include one Charge Nurse and one Registered Nurse. Patient ratios may vary by shift and department needs. The emergency department is equipped with essential medical technology including ventilators and lab equipment. Typical nursing duties include performing IV starts, conducting 12-lead EKGs, and patient assessments. Candidates must possess the required skills to ensure high standards of care. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in a free-standing emergency department setting. Ideal candidates will demonstrate qualities of inclusiveness and teamwork. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, with guidelines on acceptable attire. Additional information regarding unit policies and guidelines will be provided upon request.
