Location: Doylestown, PA and surrounding areas
Schedule: Full-time
Salary: $41,600 - 45,760 - Total Compensation equates to $53,700 - $58,420

Job Summary:

As a DSP providing In-Home and Community Support (IHCS) services and/or Community Participation Support (CPS), you will work with a small group or one on one with young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote independence, community integration, and overall well-being. Services may be delivered in the community and/or individual’s home. You will help individuals achieve their goals, develop life skills, and participate fully in their communities. This role requires flexibility in availability during late afternoons, evenings, and weekends, when support is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support in the community and/or individual’s home to enhance independence, daily living skills, and inclusion.

• Assist participants in developing and maintaining social skills, independence, and community integration.

• Implement individualized plans and activities as outlined by the Program Specialist. Support skill development in areas such as: communication and social skills, self-care and personal hygiene, household tasks and meal preparation, mobility and transportation, community participation and socialization

• Accompany individuals to community events, appointments, or recreational activities.

• Monitor and document participant progress, behaviors, and achievements.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during community based activities and volunteer experiences.

• Assist participants with daily living activities, as needed.

• Communicate regularly with Program Specialists and Program Managers regarding participant progress and any concerns.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to participant activities and progress.

• Foster a supportive and positive environment for participants.

• Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Community-based work environment with frequent local travel within Bucks County.
