Trader Voice Engineer

About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking aTrader Voice Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and enhancing the voice technologies that enable our trading and capital markets businesses to operate efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate will help deliver highly available, resilient, and compliant communication solutions, working closely with infrastructure, network, and business teams to support critical trading operations while driving platform modernization, operational excellence, and an exceptional end-user experience in a fast-paced financial services environment.In this role, you will:Serve as the senior technical lead for Wells Fargo's global Trader Voice environment.Define the strategic roadmap for trader communications platforms, including voice turret, intercom, recording, and voice infrastructure technologies.Lead architecture and engineering efforts supporting trading floor voice communications and regulated voice recording solutions.Develop technology standards, lifecycle management strategies, and resiliency requirements for business-critical voice environments.Partner with Trading, Compliance, Risk, Information Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.Drive modernization initiatives involving cloud-enabled voice services, SIP technologies, and next-generation communications platforms.Lead technical assessments, vendor evaluations, and proof-of-concept activities.Provide guidance to engineering teams supporting: Trading turrets SIP infrastructure Session Border Controllers (SBCs) Voice recording platforms Microsoft Teams Voice Enterprise telephony systemsDesign and implement highly available disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements relating to communications retention, surveillance, and recordkeeping.Provide executive-level technical consultation and recommendations on strategic voice initiatives.Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices across the organization.Lead major incident response activities related to trader communications infrastructure.Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on stability, resiliency, and user experience.Collaborate with global technology teams across multiple geographic regions.Present technical strategy and engineering recommendations to executive leadership.Required Qualifications:7+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Experience with engineering solutions for IPC and Cloud 9 turret platformsExperience with compliance recording solutions.Knowledge of: Verba and Verint voice recording platformsMicrosoft Teams Voice certification and enterprise deployment experience.Experience with Azure-based voice architectures.Financial industry trading floor support experience.Knowledge of operational risk and regulatory compliance requirements related to electronic communications.Experience managing strategic vendor relationships and service providers.Job Expectations:Participate in after-hours support during critical incidents.Posting End Date: 28 Sep 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
