Carpenter Custom Homes

Job Description

Job Description

Build Homes You’re Proud to Put Your Name On.

If you’re a carpenter who cares about square corners, plumb walls, and doing the job right the first time, you know that true craftsmanship is getting harder to find.

At Chris Keefe Builders , we don't build cookie-cutter developments or rush through sub-par work.

For over 25 years, our crew has built custom homes, complex additions, and lakefront residences around Chautauqua County. Because we handle all our framing, trim, and finish work in-house, we control the quality—and we take pride in every stick of lumber we put up.

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter with at least 3 years of hands-on residential experience who takes pride in their work, respects the trade, and wants a steady, long-term home with a crew that works as hard as they do.

Why Tradesmen Stay With Us:

• Year-Round Work: No seasonal layoffs when winter hits. We transition into indoor custom finish work, custom trim, and winter builds to keep your paycheck steady 52 weeks a year.
• Respect for Craftsmanship: You’ll be working alongside experienced builders who know the trade, pull their weight, and don't cut corners.
• Solid Local Footprint: We build right here in Chautauqua County. Less time sitting in long commutes, more time building.
• Full Benefits Package: Paid holidays, health insurance, and company-matched IRA contributions.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Proven Experience: You have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in residential carpentry (framing, structural work, exterior trim, or interior finish).
• The Craftsman Mindset: You measure twice, cut once, and take personal responsibility for the quality of your work.
• Self-Motivated & Dependable: You don't need someone hovering over your shoulder to keep moving. You show up on time, anticipate the next step on the site, and stay productive.
• Physical Capability: You’re ready for a labor-intensive, hands-on role in all weather conditions.
• The Essentials: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to job sites around Chautauqua County, and your own basic set of hand tools.
