Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Unit Information

Location: Lewisville, TX

Unit: Labor & Delivery

Number of Beds: 18
Number of Staff: 54
Patient Ratios: 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, Recovery; 2-3 for Antepartum patients, following AWHONN guidelines

General Information

Typical Equipment: GE fetal monitoring
EMR: CPN Meditech
On Call Requirement: 1-2 shifts per schedule
Floating Requirement: Occasional floating to mother-baby if needed

Responsibilities

Manage labor and assist in labor management.
Circulate during cesarean sections.
Perform vaginal deliveries, assist in C-sections, and manage triage.
Administer iron infusions as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Labor management experience
Experience circulating c-sections

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with typical labor and delivery procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Team player with a commitment to achieving the best patient outcomes.
