Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med/Surg or PCU experience Current BLS certification Current state nursing license Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the rehabilitation specialty. Inpatient Rehabilitation unit has a capacity of 35 beds. Patient ratios range from 5 to 7 patients per nurse. Unit staffing typically includes 2 to 4 techs based on census. Equipment includes vital signs machines, IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. Documentation is done using the Meditech system. Nurses will work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required. Float staff may be required to assist in other departments as needed. Prior rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required. Nurses will be responsible for medication administration, including IVs, PICC, and PEG tubes. Other procedures include bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheterization, irrigation, and blood administration. Nursing staff is expected to wear navy blue or solid white scrubs. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. Team members include nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physicians. The focus is on improving patient function and achieving goals for functional independence.
