Qualifications:

• Valid California TVI Educator Certification
• Experience working with students who are visually impaired, preferably across kindergarten through twelfth grade
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and school staff
• Commitment to inclusive education and ability to adapt teaching methods
• Passion for fostering academic and personal growth among diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments, meeting their individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other service providers to facilitate student integration and success
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress and accommodations
• Advise and support families regarding resources, adaptive technology, and strategies for academic achievement
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to developing and updating IEPs
