We are seeking a detail-oriented and accurate Construction Estimator to support residential construction projects. Reporting to the Director of Operations and Project Manager, this full-time, in-person role will prepare accurate estimates, coordinate bids, and support the transition from preconstruction to active projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs for residential construction projects
- Develop detailed cost estimates and analyze project costs
- Prepare bid packages and solicit bids from vendors and contractors
- Research and evaluate material pricing
- Review construction plans, proposals, and submitted bids
- Track project costs and revise estimates as needed
- Provide bid clarification support after proposals are submitted
- Support the transition from preconstruction to active project execution
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in construction estimating
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Experience with construction estimating software
- Proficiency in quantity takeoff, cost analysis, construction plans, and Microsoft Excel
- Experience negotiating with contractors
