Role Description The Staff Pharmacist role is a full-time, on-site position located at Woody’s Pharmacy in Dahlonega, GA. The Staff Pharmacist will accurately dispense prescription medications, verify orders, and ensure safe, compliant medication practices. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions; providing immunizations; and answering clinical questions from patients and prescribers. The role also involves coordinating with technicians and support staff, maintaining inventory and controlled substances documentation, and adhering to state and federal pharmacy regulations. The Staff Pharmacist will contribute to workflow efficiency, deliver friendly customer service, and actively support health and wellness initiatives in the community. Qualifications Valid Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent and active Georgia pharmacist license (or eligibility to obtain). Proficiency in prescription verification, dispensing, and medication therapy management, with strong attention to accuracy and safety. Skills in patient counseling, clear communication, and building positive relationships with diverse patient populations. Experience administering immunizations and familiarity with vaccine schedules, documentation, and cold-chain management. Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other team members to maintain efficient, patient-centered workflow. Knowledge of pharmacy law, insurance processing, and best practices for handling controlled substances and confidential health information. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy community pharmacy setting. Comfort with pharmacy management systems and basic computer skills; willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
