Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Contract / Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 4 Weekend Shifts Per Month Required | No On-Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit operating at a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio on night shift
• Utilize telemetry monitoring equipment, bladder scanners, vital sign machines, and patient lifts as part of routine care
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the Meditech electronic medical records system
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, LVNs, and Patient Care Technicians to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit dress code and all applicable facility policies and guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital-based nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
