Phlebotomist - Float

Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida

Celebrating 30 years in Southwest Florida and we are still growing! Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier multi-specialty primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Estero, Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres. This position is a float position, primarily based out of our Cape Coral location.

Phlebotomists

Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients

Collect specimens in the correct container according to COLA requirements

Ensure the correct recording and labeling of all specimens collected

Clean, maintain, and stock phlebotomy area, draw stations, and patient restrooms

Provide coverage at our satellite practice laboratories on an as-needed basis

Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations

Must have reliable transportation

Work schedule is Monday - Friday with a Saturday rotation

Reliability is critical

To Be Successful – You Need:

Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately

Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients

Knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment to perform routine tests

One year of phlebotomy experience required

CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
