Mills James is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Cinema 4D Artist – Visual Effects to join our dynamic post-production team in Cincinnati. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work on high-end commercial projects for Fortune 500 clients and leading brands, delivering cinematic VFX that push creative boundaries.

Role Overview

As a Cinema 4D Artist (VFX) , you will be a key creative contributor responsible for designing, creating, and compositing high-end visual effects for commercial and branded content. You will work closely with directors, producers, editors, and other artists to ensure visual effects meet the highest artistic and technical standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where artistry, technical skill, and storytelling converge.

Key Responsibilities

• VFX Creation: Design and execute high-quality photorealistic simulations and effects, including water, smoke, fire, and other natural phenomena.

• Integration: Seamlessly integrate 3D and 2D animation into live-action footage, ensuring visual continuity and realism.

• Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, editors, and other creative teams to achieve artistic vision and meet project requirements.

• Pipeline Contribution: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of VFX pipelines and workflows.

• Technical Excellence: Ensure all visual effects meet technical quality standards, maintaining consistency across projects.

• Client Engagement: Participate in internal reviews and, where necessary, client sessions to discuss creative direction and provide updates.

• Time Management: Deliver polished work within tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in visual effects production for film, television, advertising, or high-end digital content.

• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Cinema 4D . Experience with Houdini, Maya, After Effects, and/or Nuke is a strong advantage.

• VFX Expertise: Demonstrated ability to create photorealistic simulations of fluid effects such as water, smoke, and fire.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of lighting, rendering, shading, camera tracking, and compositing techniques.

• Portfolio/Demo Reel: A polished demo reel showcasing high-quality VFX work, with a focus on fluid, smoke, or fire simulations (portfolio link required).

• Collaboration Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset, able to work in both self-directed and team-oriented environments.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret creative direction accurately and produce visually consistent results.

• Client Experience: Experience working with high-profile brands or commercial clients is a plus.
