This is a highly visible individual-contributor opportunity with responsibility for shaping the company’s specific and aggregate stop-loss pricing strategy. The successful candidate will become the internal subject-matter expert, with considerable influence over pricing methodologies, processes and systems. You’ll review and improve the existing pricing model, advise on deductibles, attachment points and coverage structures, provide current market intelligence and help incorporate stop-loss pricing into the company’s proprietary rating platform. You’ll also partner closely with Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, Operations and Sales as the ASO portfolio grows. RequirementsASA or FSA credentialed Actuary would be preferred although experienced stop-loss underwriters will also be consideredEmployer medical stop-loss experienceStrong knowledge of specific and aggregate coverage.Hands-on stop-loss pricing or underwriting experience.Experience reviewing and improving pricing models, assumptions and processes.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-funded insurer entering its next stage of national growth, offering direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to build and shape a new capability rather than inherit an established process.
