Desktop Support Technician Location: 401 Science Park Rd, State College, PA 16801. Rate: $21/HR Top three required skills: Deskside IT support experience in a manufacturing environment, customer service, and troubleshooting Dell & Mac laptops and iOS & Android mobile phones. Years of experience: 3 years minimum required, with most of that being in a manufacturing environment. Certifications: A+ certification is a plus. Responsibilities: Maintains, analyzes, and troubleshoots computer systems (Windows 10 and MacOS), and computer peripherals. Mobile phone support (iPhone and Android). Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces software systems and hardware. Imaging, configuration, and wiping of computers. Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. Hands and feet assistance on network connection issues; tracking network connections back to network switches. Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve. Represents in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates. High amount of interaction with customers, responding to routine technical questions or requests for information.
