Part Time Medical Records and Driver

What You'll Do

Manage and maintain resident medical records, including assembling, labeling, filing, auditing, cleaning, and purging documentation

Ensure medical records remain accurate, complete, confidential, and compliant with HIPAA regulations

Review resident charts for deficiencies, issue deficiency reports, and coordinate timely corrections with clinical staff

Compile statistical data and prepare required reports, including annual regulatory submissions, as directed by the Administrator

Coordinate 10A documentation, obtain Director of Nursing approval, and submit completed paperwork to the Business Office

Safely transport residents to and from physician appointments, hospital visits, therapies, and other scheduled medical services

Schedule medical appointments and communicate appointment details with residents, families, and appropriate facility staff

Arrange alternate transportation when necessary to ensure continuity of resident care

Ensure residents travel with all required medical documentation and communicate appointment outcomes to the nursing team upon return

Maintain the cleanliness, fuel level, maintenance schedule, registration, and overall readiness of the facility transportation vehicle

Safely assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles, including loading, unloading, and securing wheelchairs and mobility devices

Follow all facility safety policies, traffic laws, and transportation procedures, including refraining from cell phone use while operating company vehicles

Maintain professional communication with residents, families, healthcare providers, and facility staff

Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (copy required)
  • Experience in medical records within a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
  • Experience with computer data entry and electronic medical records
  • CNA certification and medical transport experience preferred
  • Experience working with elderly or long-term care residents preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Professional appearance, dependable attendance, and ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and push or move 200+ lbs. with appropriate equipment, including wheelchairs on ramps
  • Full range of motion required to safely assist residents and perform job duties
  • May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable diseases while performing assigned responsibilities
