When you join RJ Schinner, you're not just taking a job - you're becoming part of a team that values hard work, celebrates success, and believes in growing together.ScheduleMonday – Friday | Early-Morning Start Times between 4am-6amPerks Of Being on The TeamCompetitive base pay with annual increases and year-end bonus opportunitiesHourly pay plus overtime after 40 hoursComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, plus employer-paid life, short term disability, and accident insurancesTwo weeks of paid time off in your first year, along with paid holidays and paid leave programsConsistent truck assignments and steady routes you can count onDriver incentive programs that reward you for being a safe driverNewer trucks and equipment with automatic transmissions for a smoother rideTechnology upgrades that make your job easier and more efficientRegular employee appreciation eventsSpecial employee pricing on RJ Schinner sold products½ off RJ Schinner apparel, plus plenty more!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain Class A CDL license, driver qualification documentation and acceptable driving record in order to drive for the company on an as-needed basis.Acts as Liaison between driver and transportation coordinator on an as-needed basisAssist with approval and coordination of vacations and route coverageParticipate in driver interviews and assist Management with hiring drivers and back-up driversPartner with management and transportation to ensure route coverage including but not limited to temporary drivers, carriers, and/or directly covering for the vacancyAdminister the planned and unplanned maintenance of all driving equipment for designated branch.Perform monthly pre-trip inspection audits to ensure all equipment meets FMCSA and RJ Schinner standardsPartner with Safety to coordinate driver onboarding and Driver Qualification documents, on an as needed basisConduct driver training and road tests on new employees or designated remedial training program.Assist Management and/or the HR-Safety department on coaching or corrective actionMaintain working knowledge of systems such as GEOTAB, Samsara, Descartes, JJ Keller Encompass, and hardware components to diagnose and resolve driver questions and issuesSupport Management with the correction of driver Hours of Service (HOS) issues in GEOTABAssist with the collection and completion of accident and injury paperwork and processesPerform driver ride-along as directed by managementOther duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For In A DriverYou have a valid Class A CDL Operator's LicenseYou bring at least 3 years of driving experienceYou can meet DOT requirements, including pre-employment and random drug testingYou have a clean driving record and can pass a background checkYou have a current valid Federal Medical CardYou understand the common hazards on the road and follow best safety practicesYou have previous experience making deliveriesYou're a natural problem solverYou take pride in providing excellent customer experiencesLocation: 4747 McConnell Center Dr. B, Greensboro NC, 27405R.J.
