Medical Assistant – Outpatient Primary CareRequirements:2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinicGraduate of a DAPIP-accredited Medical Assistant program (copy of certification required)High school diploma or GEDRecent, demonstrable experience in venipuncture (high-volume phlebotomy)Epic charting experience preferredWillingness to work with pediatric patientsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC only)Roles & Responsibilities:Room patients and obtain vital signsConduct medication reviews and manage documentation of medications and labsPerform venipuncture, drawing 1-5 vials per patientPrepare specimens for lab testingAdminister immunizations and injectionsAssist with basic procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practiceCompliance / Notes:References: 2 supervisor references required from within the past 12 monthsBackground checks are mandatoryMaximum return time off (RTO) is 7 days; no RTO during the first 2 weeks of assignmentOrientation: 160 hours requiredPre-start modules required prior to commencement of employmentClient DetailsCity: Playa VistaState: CA
