Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services, Inc

Kratos Defense and Rocket Support Services is currently seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst. The FP&A Analyst supports the Finance team by providing financial insights, forecasting, and analytical support to drive strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with the VP of Finance and Operations and cross-functional leaders to monitor performance, develop budgets, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and annual budgets
Analyze monthly financial results and variances against budget and prior periods
Prepare and deliver financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
Support long-range planning and strategic initiatives
Partner with business units to provide financial guidance and improve performance
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis
Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting processes
Improve and streamline financial processes, tools, and reporting capabilities

Required Experience:

Qualifications:

Bacheloris degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
5-7+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related role (experience with government contracting and rate pools is a plus)
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools) preferred
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting senior leadership or executive teams
Expereince supporting government contracts
Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Experience with tools such as Power BI, Cost Point/Deltek
