Job Summary The Manager of Equal Opportunity & Accessibility is responsible for the operational administration of Georgia Tech’s employee accommodation programs and equal employment opportunity compliance initiatives. The role manages day‑to‑day processes related to disability, religious, and pregnancy accommodations for faculty and staff, facilitates the interactive process, reviews documentation, and coordinates implementation of approved accommodations. The manager serves as a primary resource to faculty, staff, and administrators regarding reasonable accommodations and accessible employment practices, provides guidance on compliance with applicable federal and state laws (ADA, Title VII, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act), and supports institutional efforts to ensure nondiscriminatory hiring and employment practices. The position reports to the Director of ADA Compliance, Equal Opportunity & Accommodations and supports the implementation of Institute policies and program improvements. Responsibilities Manage the accommodations process, including intake, evaluation, documentation review, and implementation. Provide guidance to hiring managers on implementing legally compliant hiring practices and ensuring job postings, application processes, and assessments are accessible and barrier‑free. Serve as a subject‑matter expert and resource for faculty, staff, and administrators on accommodation‑related matters. Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations related to disability, religious, and pregnancy accommodations and ensure processes align with legal requirements. Participate in outreach activities to promote understanding of accommodations and reduce stigma and discrimination. Oversee case management and maintain accurate, confidential records of accommodation requests and outcomes using case management systems. Design and conduct training sessions for managers, HR personnel, and employees on accommodation procedures, legal requirements, and best practices. Assess trends, develop metrics, and make recommendations to improve policies and processes. Lead projects for strategic compliance of non‑discrimination in employment initiatives, including annual updates to the Non‑discrimination in Employment Plan. Perform other related duties as assigned. Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in public administration, law, higher education administration, human resources, rehabilitation services, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Qualifications Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in ADA compliance, EEO or civil rights compliance, reasonable accommodations administration, employment law or HR compliance, or higher education civil rights administration. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (Master’s or Juris Doctorate). Preferred Experience Operational leadership of an accommodation program. Case management expertise. Interactive process facilitation. Consultation with departments. Training and compliance implementation. Proposed Salary Annual salary: $121,922 - $140,000, commensurate with education and experience. Abilities, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to evaluate accommodation requests, facilitate the interactive process, review documentation, and coordinate implementation of reasonable accommodations consistently and legally. Ability to interpret and communicate regulatory requirements and institutional policies clearly to faculty, staff, and administrators. Ability to manage multiple accommodation cases simultaneously while maintaining accurate documentation, confidentiality, and timely processing. Ability to collaborate effectively with Human Resources, campus leadership, and other stakeholders to support accessible hiring practices and address workplace accessibility concerns. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with sound judgment in managing sensitive matters. Knowledge of federal and state civil rights laws related to employment and disability accommodations (ADA, Section 504, Title VII, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Other Information This is a supervisory position. No financial responsibilities. No driving required. Position of trust. No purchasing card required.
