Sr Marine SchedulerLocation: Houston, TX, US, 77019Req ID: 479956Benefits: Fuel Your Growth with Love's - company funded tuition assistance, Paid Time Off, 401(k) – 100% Match up to 5%, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance on the first of the month after first 30 days, Competitive Pay Career DevelopmentBasic PurposeThe primary purpose is to manage Musket's waterborne commercial operations for Refined Products and Renewable FuelsMajor ResponsibilitiesOptimize and communicate voyage programming across Musket's ocean-going and inland-waterway fleet (spot and time-charter)Develop processes around chartering, loss-control, demurrage etc. to generate and preserve commercial valueMaintain and develop key internal and external relationships including suppliers, customers, and terminal operatorsEnsure product quality control is consistent with commercial and regulatory handling requirementsCommunicate operational updates to all parties such as Mid-Office, Credit, and Senior ManagementMaintain constant communications about scheduling plans with traders, Mid-Office, Back-Office, and third-party personnelNotify traders of potential scheduling conflicts and suggest ways to mitigateEducation and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's degree in business, supply management, finance, or relevant field experience requiredExperience: 10 + years minimum experience scheduling and executing marine operations. 10 + years minimum experience in a trading environment handling logistics and transportationSkills and Physical DemandsSkills: Intimate working knowledge around scheduling through various means of transportation Expert knowledge with Incoterms 2010 / 2020 Experienced with different Refined Product / Renewable grades and specifications Detail knowledge around common Charter Party formats and common marine GT&Cs Letter of Credit formats and documentation requirements Calculating/Estimating freight and other marine related costs Solarc Right Angle knowledge is preferredSoft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self-motivated, good time management skills, and innovative thinkingTypical Physical Demands Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator Requires normal range of hearing and visionOur Culture: Fueling customers' journeys since 1964, innovation leads the way for this family-owned and operated business headquartered in Oklahoma City.
