Work Environment This position is primarily an onsite role at our specialized rehabilitation facility in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. You will work a standard 40-hour schedule from Monday to Friday, immersing yourself in a collaborative environment that values clinical excellence and community outreach. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' movement capabilities and establish relevant treatment plans based on physician referrals. Implement and monitor treatment protocols for a diverse range of conditions, ensuring adherence to established clinical guidelines. Utilize evidence-based practices to provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to promote healing and recovery. Educate and empower patients and their caregivers about their conditions, treatment processes, and preventative measures. Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records to facilitate effective communication among interdisciplinary teams. Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify approaches as necessary to maximize patient recovery outcomes. Contribute to a positive patient experience through excellent customer service and effective communication skills. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will serve a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, pediatric challenges, neurological conditions, and sports-related ailments. By addressing the unique needs of each patient, you will help them gain strength and mobility, ultimately enhancing their quality of life. Your ability to forge strong relationships with patients will be key to their success in meeting and exceeding their functional goals. Qualifications A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program. A valid state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy as mandated by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee. Minimum of two years of hands-on clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting. CPR certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant technology for routine documentation and patient management. Preferred Experience Experience with diverse patient populations, particularly in orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties. Demonstrated success in building rapport with patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Experience implementing patient-centered care strategies and contributing to multidisciplinary clinical teams. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
