About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience - Experience with telemetry, ventilators, continuous IV sedation, and vasoactive drips - Ability to manage arterial lines, central lines, and arterial catheters Description: This position requires working two out of three holiday bundles, which include Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The nurse will care for patients in a medical ICU, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. The unit will have a daily census of approximately 24 patients. The patient diagnoses may include sepsis, ARDS, end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, GI bleeds, post-cardiac arrest, diabetes ketoacidosis, alcohol withdrawal, and pulmonary artery hypertension. Requirements include experience with specialty equipment such as CRRT, ECMO, Impella, and IABP. The nurse may be floated to other ICU units, progressive care units, emergency departments to care for admitted patients, and recovery rooms. Weekend requirements may vary based on unit needs. Pre-approved time off is limited, and requests for time off greater than seven days must receive approval. Please ensure all qualifications are met before applying for this position.
