Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in Yakima, Washington. This role involves responding to a high-volume, Level III trauma center with an average of 200 to 250 emergency department patients per day. The selected candidate will provide care for a diverse patient population, including neonatal to geriatric patients, in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability, technical proficiency, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS or ENPC certifications. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a large volume emergency department with high acuity patients. Experience with barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage, and setting up chest tubes, arterial lines, assisting with trauma and code cases, splinting, bipap/ventilators, and a solid understanding of Emergency Severity Index (ESI). Pediatric emergency medicine experience and familiarity with Point of Care Laboratories are highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric emergency medicine experience, Point of Care Labs experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC.
• Additional Information: No float rotation required. The ER is divided into zones, including a fast track section with 13 beds in the green zone. EMR system in use is Epic. Weekend rotation occurs every other week and may include back-to-back weekends. Flexibility is desired.
