Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a dedicated Registered Nurse providing vital support to an incoming Kindergarten student in an elementary setting near Saint Louis, MO. This full-time role offers a schedule from 8:30am to 2:00pm, totaling 30 hours per week—ideal for nurses seeking consistent hours with flexibility for work-life balance.

In this one-on-one position, you’ll work closely with a young student in a private placement classroom designed for those with severe developmental disabilities. Your nursing expertise will help create a safe, nurturing environment, supporting both the child’s health needs and educational experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Current RN license, valid in Missouri
• Background in school nursing or pediatric care
• Experience working with children who have complex medical needs
• Familiarity with Bainbridge-Ropers syndrome is a strong asset
• Understanding and care experience with chronic lung disease, mild heart conditions, and scoliosis
• Comfort managing G-tube feeding and maintenance
• Knowledge of sleep disorders such as reverse circadian cycles
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills
• Compassion, reliability, and adaptability to changing student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized daily nursing care for a Kindergarten-aged student
• Administer medication, treatments, and G-tube feedings as required
• Monitor and document student’s health status and respond to medical needs promptly
• Collaborate with special education staff, families, and healthcare providers
• Promote a safe, supportive classroom environment and participate in team meetings
