Passionate Age Group Swim Coach needed. If you enjoy working with children and are dedicated to the sport of swimming, this is the job for you! Boca Raton Swim Team is a non‑for‑profit organization. The home pool is located at Boca Raton High School and offers a 10 lane 50 meter and a 22 lane 25 yard outdoor pool. The program operates year‑round practices and a year‑round competition schedule. This individual will serve as lead coach for our 9‑12 year old athletes five days a week, two hours a day with a focus on teaching competitive strokes in a safe supportive setting. Must be authorized to work in the USA. Must live within a commutable distance to Boca Raton. USA Swimming, Registered Team USA Swimming World 100 2018, Top Ranking Florida Gold Coast Swimming, Registered Team USA Swimming Level 2 Club Recognition Program What you'll be doing Support the head coach and team to create and work with swimmers ages 9‑12 years old that are at the introduction level, teach stroke fundamentals while maintaining a safe, supportive, learning environment. Teach athletes the principles of the four competitive strokes and the correct stroke and skill mechanics. Know, understand, and consistently apply safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area. Become or maintain status as a USA Swimming certified coach in good standing. Check the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving, clean up the area at the end of practices. Maintain effective, positive relationships with the members, participants, and other staff. Attend swim meets as needed relevant to the level of swimmers in the assigned group. Attend swim meets: when Boca Raton Swim Team hosts swim meets at the home pool. We host 3‑4 swim meets per year and local swim meets within the tri‑county area when swimmers are entered. What you'll need The ability to obtain and maintain all certifications required to be a coach in good standing with USA Swimming (compensation offered for certification of credentials).
