Project Director - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing - CAPEX, GMP, CQV Are you an accomplished capital projects leader with a track record of delivering large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing programmes? We are seeking a strategic Project Director to lead the successful delivery of complex capital investment programmes across pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. This is a senior leadership role with accountability for driving projects from concept and business case through design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term manufacturing strategy. What you'll bring: Extensive leadership experience delivering major CAPEX programmes within pharmaceutical manufacturing or other highly regulated industries. Deep expertise in GMP-regulated environments, including cleanroom facilities, CQV, validation, and FDA/EMA compliance. Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, quality, validation, operations, procurement, and external delivery partners. Proven ability to develop programme strategy, governance, commercial oversight, risk management, and executive stakeholder engagement while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Experience influencing senior leadership and providing clear direction across multiple concurrent projects and cross‑functional teams. Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for significant capital budgets, contractor management, and portfolio performance. Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline; professional project management qualifications are advantageous.
