Step into a dynamic contract role serving multiple schools in the greater Kansas City area, supporting students as a paraprofessional on a per diem basis. This flexible opportunity enables you to make a meaningful difference in special education (SPED) classrooms, primarily within elementary environments, while choosing your own shifts through a convenient app-based process.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid substitute or paraprofessional certification on DESE (must be active before your start date; applicants in the process are welcome to apply)
• Prior experience in school settings with a focus on supporting students with behavioral needs, BIPs, and individualized interventions
• Willingness to assist in toileting and hands-on support where required
• Must complete fingerprinting specific to the district prior to placement
• Comfort with both 1:1 and classroom aide paraprofessional roles
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to respond to same-day or short-notice assignments

Role Highlights:

• Support special education classrooms across up to 33 schools—most are elementary settings
• Fill in for contractor call-outs, with opportunities to work between 1-5 days per week (per diem, no guaranteed hours)
• Typical schedules: Middle School (7:00 AM – 2:30 PM), High School (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM), Elementary (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Real-time shift offers via an easy-to-use app; schedule and location details provided for each assignment

You will earn $24.50 per hour for each hour worked in this non-negotiable per diem position.
