Title of Position – Restaurant Assistant Manager

Job Description:

As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in leading and developing team members, creating a positive work environment, and helping the restaurant achieve its business goals.

Your responsibilities will include supervising daily operations, managing staffing and scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring that all food and beverages are prepared and served according to company standards. You will assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management to build a strong, service-oriented team.

The Restaurant Assistant Manager will also help manage inventory, control food and labor costs, monitor sales performance, minimize waste, and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies. You will address customer concerns professionally, resolve operational challenges, and support initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and overall restaurant performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who can motivate a team, maintain high operational standards, and support the General Manager in achieving restaurant goals. Qualifications

• Previous restaurant leadership or management experience is preferred, ideally in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operating procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members.
• Understanding of restaurant financial performance, including labor costs, food costs, inventory control, and waste management.
• Ability to assist with staffing, scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to resolve customer concerns and handle operational challenges professionally.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
