Since 1802, we have been embracing innovations and sustainable solutions of the highest quality that add value to people's lives around the globe.Join us to be part of a forward-thinking, people-centered company where your ideas and contributions truly matter.This is your opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative, international environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Follow direction from the Maintenance Manager and work with minimal supervisionHelp support and maintain all 6S standards in your immediate work area and assist others as needed and time permitsLabel, use, store and dispose of all chemicals properly and safelyEnsure work area meets the 6S standards at the end of each work dayAny additional duties specified by the Maintenance ManagerRequires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisorAdhere to all ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHA 18001 certification requirementsAdhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety rulesRegularly gather, sort and weigh as necessary, all scrap plastics, metals, and other material and dispose of properlyRemove inside and outside trash as needed throughout the facilityAcquire and maintain certifications to operate all department equipment required including high speed buffers, electric sweepers, scrubbers, pallet jacks, forklifts, man lifts, compactors and bailersTreat and dispose of blood borne wastesResponsible for safety of yourself and maintaining a safe working environment for all employeesRequired Skills/Abilities:Capable of operating all equipment within assigned departmentGood oral and written communication skillsMust be self motivatedMust have a thorough understanding and abide by the hazard communication programWorking knowledge of good hygiene and sanitation practicesAble to work well with other employeesRequired to be prompt and dependableCapable of performing repetitious workEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GEDForklift certificationPrevious housekeeping experience preferredWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements:Associate may be exposed to general production machine noise levelsExposure to seasonal temperature extremesExposure to fumesExposure to hazards such as electrical and moving mechanical partsStanding, walking, sitting, reaching, pushing, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing repetitively 80% of the timeAverage work-exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantlyRequired some overhead lifting up to 40lbs objects (cardboard boxes, trash bags, odd shaped items, etc.)Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more with the ability to judge depth and space relationships and bring object into sharp focusRequired to lift up to 40 lbs. and move odd shaped objects (desks, tables, etc.). More with helpRequired to be prompt and dependable (some overtime may be required.)
