Executive Producer

The Executive Producer supervises news content across all media platforms and the live newscasts for a daypart.Responsible for evaluating stories; organizing them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast or digital content Define strategic direction with News Director and Asst. ND for content coverage to meet station objectivesManage news room, contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situationsExecute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all media devices and social platformsResponsible for successful promotion and marketing of newscastsManage Schedules for Producers and Associate Producers Work with other News Managers to develop strategic plans for big news events Recruit Producers and Associate ProducersAbility to work all hours and be on-call on weekendsProduces a newscast if neededRequirements & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalentAt least 5 years’ experience in television or radio broadcast/productionMust be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staffDetail orientedExcellent verbal, written, and analytical skillsStrong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectationsUtilize state-of-the-art television technologySummaryLocation: FL, TampaType: Full time
