This program is designed to empower our team with flexibility and varied work opportunities, all while enhancing patient care across our facilities.A Brief Overview Performs tests and procedures in assigned sections, including those which require exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimum supervision. Independently performs qualitative and quantitative tests, following established guidelines and predetermined criteria. Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, critical thinking skills, and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them. May perform phlebotomy and help in specimen receiving, as assigned.For those MLTs who live within 50 miles from 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655Commitment 1: $34 / hourFloat to all 3 Great River Health hospital locationsMinimum of 24 hours in a 6-week scheduling periodWe ask that you select one Summer and one Winter hard to fill shift as part of your commitment. You can select the hard to fill day and shift time that suits your availability, and you can adjust this as you see fit annually.For those MLTs who live more than 50 miles from 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655Commitment 2: $48 / hourTake assignments to any of the 3 Great River Health hospital locationsOne assignment every 4 months (LTA must be a minimum of 6 weeks)Eligible Shift Differentials:o Evening differential: $2/hour (14:30 - 22:59)o Night differential: $2.30/hour (22:30 - 08:30)o Weekend differential (Friday @ 23:00 – Sunday @ 23:00): - $1/houro Holiday Differential: 1.5x base rate of payQualifications:RequiredAssociate's Degree (AA) in laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited program2 years experience as an MLTGreat River Health and its affiliates are Equal Opportunity employers.
