About the Opportunity

Poppy Hill Dental Implants & Oral Surgery is opening a brand-new oral surgery practice in El Dorado Hills, CA. We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Surgical Assistant to support our surgeon in a fast-paced, patient-focused surgical environment.

This is a hands-on clinical role ideal for someone who thrives in oral surgery, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering a safe, exceptional patient experience.

What You’ll Do

• Assist during oral surgery procedures including extractions, implants, and grafting
• Prepare patients for surgery and review medical histories
• Monitor and document vital signs during procedures and sedation
• Support anesthesia and patient recovery
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operatories
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols
• Take dental radiographs and imaging
• Maintain accurate charting and clinical documentation
• Provide pre- and post-op instructions and patient support
• Work closely with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow

What You Bring

• 1+ year of dental or surgical assisting experience (oral surgery preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification
• California DA or RDA license and X-ray certification preferred
• Experience with sedation cases or willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate provider needs
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
