Position Summary

The Trade COE Analyst is responsible for supporting trade planning, sales execution, and performance reporting processes across key retail banners, including IGA and Metro Québec. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently to manage large datasets, identify trends, solve business challenges, and deliver actionable insights to sales leadership and customer teams.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and expertise in developing and maintaining reporting tools that support sales planning, forecasting, and post-event performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Booking Sheet Preparation & Sales Planning

• Prepare and validate SKU lists for booking sheet submissions across customer banners.
• Develop and maintain ready-to-sell booking sheet templates aligned with customer requirements and promotional objectives.
• Integrate prior-year sales and order data into booking sheets to support business planning and forecasting decisions.
• Create SKU-level recap files and data sets used to generate consumption and performance reports.
• Build sales target tracking files and performance dashboards for field sales representatives.
• Identify data discrepancies and independently resolve issues to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.

Sales Execution Support

• Provide daily and weekly sales performance updates by Sales Representative.
• Monitor sales progress against targets and forecast expectations.
• Analyze sales trends and proactively identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Generate ad hoc reports and insights to support business decision-making during selling periods.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Post-Selling Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare final sales recap reports comparing actual results against Customer Sales Manager (CSM) forecasts and adjustments.
• Develop detailed billback recaps by Sales Representative and store.
• Analyze promotional effectiveness and provide recommendations for future trade activities.
• Produce annual sales performance reviews by Sales Representative, highlighting achievements, trends, and opportunities.
• Generate annual billback summaries by customer, representative, and store to support financial reconciliation and business planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• Pivot Tables
• Power Query
• Complex formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, etc.)
• Data modeling and reporting automation
• Dashboard development and large dataset management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with sales reporting, trade promotions, forecasting, or customer analytics is considered an asset.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$60,000 to $65,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
