About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Psychiatry MD in Montana!

Our client in Montana is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist for a 74-day assignment beginning Aug 17, 2026. This role involves a 7on/7off schedule with daily 12-hour shifts during the week and 10-hour shifts on weekends, focusing on acute inpatient care for 12-20 adult patients daily, including those with civil commitments and complex psychiatric conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to 12-20 adult inpatient acute unit patients per day.
• Manage cases involving civil commitments, general psychiatry, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder.
• Address the needs of patients, noting approximately 90% present with a personality disorder.
• Adhere to a 7on/7off schedule, with 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday and 10-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Psychiatry required.
