Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results.
- In-depth knowledge of special education eligibility requirements and intervention planning.
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and South Carolina Department of Education regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to provide crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and behavior support.
- Meticulous approach to maintaining documentation and preparing reports.
- Previous participation in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team settings is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret findings.
- Develop recommendations for special education eligibility and targeted interventions.
- Consult and collaborate with staff, administrators, and families to support students’ unique needs.
- Deliver counseling services and implement crisis intervention strategies.
- Support behavioral interventions through observation, planning, and progress monitoring.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with relevant educational regulations.
- Actively contribute to IEP meetings and foster inclusive, equitable learning environments.
