Locums Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician

Job Description

We are seeking a Board- CertifiedOrthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician for a locums opportunityproviding on-site inpatient coverage at a hospital in North Chesterfield,Virginia. This role includes orthopedic trauma consultations, surgical care,inpatient rounding, and overnight call coverage.

Position Details

On-site inpatient call coverage
Night call coverage required
Approximately 8 patients per day
Inpatient EMR: Meditech
Outpatient EMR: eCW

Responsibilities

Provide orthopedic trauma coverage for inpatient and emergency cases
Perform orthopedic trauma consultations and evaluations
Provide surgical management for orthopedic trauma patients
Participate in inpatient rounding and postoperative care
Respond to orthopedic trauma needs during night call
Collaborate with emergency medicine, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Orthopedic Trauma experience
Active Virginia medical license
