Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute HD & PD dialysis experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CNN preferred Must-Have: Driver's license and utility bill must be included with submission. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted. First-timers accepted. Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs. No local candidates accepted. Pending state license accepted. No license hits accepted. Description: Registered Nurse specializing in Dialysis, providing care in a high acuity unit. Acute room typically staffed with a ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients. ICU care provided with a ratio of 1 RN to 1 patient. Flexibility in hours is required, as the acute program may require more than 12 hours of work depending on patient population. Ability to cannulate AV fistula and graft is essential. Experience in administration of blood and blood products is required. Knowledge of dysrhythmias and their management is necessary. Candidates must be proficient in the use of dialysis equipment and alarms. Candidate must be familiar with fluid management and recognize symptoms of patient distress. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Patient diagnoses include ESRD and Acute Kidney Injury. Candidates should have completed a specialty competency assessment within the last year. A minimum passing score of 80% is required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment focusing on patient care and dialysis treatments. Candidates will engage with a diverse patient population comprising adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census in the unit is approximately 22 patients with higher treatments on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
