Environmental Specialist II, III, IV

This role offers the opportunity to grow from handling straightforward environmental matters to leading complex programs and projects, depending on experience and level.Responsibilities/ExpectationsDevelop, maintain, and provide guidance on environmental policies, processes, compliance programs, and environmental management practices.Assess environmental risks, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation of approved solutions, including preparation of required regulatory documentation.Prepare and submit environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other regulatory authorizations, coordinating with internal stakeholders as needed.Support or lead environmental projects, including planning, scheduling, cost estimating, impact assessments, execution, and reporting.Prepare compliance reports, certifications, environmental plans, inventories, and other supporting documentation.Research and interpret federal, state, and local environmental regulations and provide technical guidance and training to company personnel.Perform or support environmental compliance audits, due diligence investigations, remediation activities, and improvements to environmental systems and practices related to air, water, waste, and remediation management.Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.Mentor and guide less experienced personnel at the Environmental Specialist IV level.Perform other duties as assigned.Education/ExperienceEducationEnvironmental Specialist II, III, and IV: Bachelor's degree.ExperienceEnvironmental Specialist II: Minimum of two (2) years of environmental experience.Environmental Specialist III: Minimum of four (4) years of environmental experience.Environmental Specialist IV: Minimum of eight (8) years of environmental experience.Preferred experience with environmental permitting, compliance auditing, and regulatory reporting.Preferred knowledge of air quality, water quality, waste management, remediation, or related environmental programs.Preferred experience working with federal, state, or local regulatory agencies.Other RequirementsDemonstrated commitment to safety as a core value.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard PC software.#LI-AB1Why Houston?
