SAP FICO Consultant

Role Overview: This role is for an SAP FICO functional consultant specializing in the design and configuration of SAP Finance modules. The consultant will be involved in full implementation cycles, from gathering business requirements and providing detailed designs to performing configurations, developing custom programs, testing, and providing post go-live support. Key Responsibilities:
- Specialize in the design and configuration of SAP Finance modules.
- Lead 2-3 full implementations of SAP FI modules.
- Gather business requirements and provide conceptual and detailed designs.
- Perform necessary SAP configurations.
- Write detailed specifications for the development of custom programs.
- Conduct comprehensive testing (Unit, Integration, Regression).
- Coordinate transports to production environments.
- Provide post go-live support and address issues.
- Work on custom development, including gap analysis, requirement gathering, design, functional specification, development, testing, implementation, and post go-live support.
- Work with SAP Interfaces and understand Idoc editing.
- Develop BDC programs and utilize tools for SAP Master Data creation.
- SAP FI: 5-10 years of experience.
- Analytical Thinking: 5-10 years of experience.
- SAP FICO functional experience, including design and configuration of SAP Finance modules.
- Minimum 5 years of SAP FICO / FI-CA experience.
- Good understanding of accounting concepts.
- Knowledge of Accounting Entries for Purchase to Pay.
- Knowledge of Accounting Entries for Sales and Distribution.
- Familiarity with ASAP methodology.
- Understanding of the differences between Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing, and their execution phases.
- Knowledge of the Change Request (CR) process.
- Experience working on custom development (end-to-end process).
- Experience working on Interfaces.
- Ability to edit existing Idocs and understanding of related T-codes and impacts.
- Knowledge of methods for writing BDC programs.
- Familiarity with tools used to create Master Data in SAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations creation and delivery.
- Bachelors Degree.
- Post graduate degree (MBA / CA) is required.
- Prior experience in high tech or software industries is preferred.
- RAR Experience: 1-2 years.
- Experience with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
