Medical Technologist
$27.77 - $37 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technologist for diagnostic testing operations in Yakima, Washington. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability and prepare samples for testing
- Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures per protocols
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology
- Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
Compensation: $27.77–$37.00 per hour plus shift differentials
