Accounting Manager

Qualifications Experience in various industies( not just one) 2+ years supervisory experience (prefer more) Experience with controls/documentation Plus: Some investment/financial services industry experience CPA Family office exposure Sage Intacct We are a complex family office and service provider located in Seabrook, NH, seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team responsible for accounting and reporting. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance. Responsibilities include accounting, reporting, investment monitoring, budgeting, recommendations for efficient operations, and supervision of staff. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting : Own the close process including maintenance of the G/L, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions/eliminations for multiple entities including trusts, service businesses, non-profits, and holding companies. Ensure accuracy of financial, budgetary, and operating records. Reporting : Preparation of reports including earnings, profits/losses, cash balances, and cost accounting. Review records of present and past operations, trends, budgets and costs. Interpret accounts and records for review with upper management. Budgeting : Consolidate the financial data from the Budget cycle. Upload forecasts into systems. Analyze and report on variances as applicable. Business Partnering : Collaborate with management including the Owner and CFO on matters such as effective use of resources, methods to free capital, and improvements to plans, processes, policies and internal controls. Supervision : Direct a team of 4 staff accountants and analysts. Skills and Competencies Demonstrably capable with Excel and accounting software suites. Experience with Sage Intacct and Private Wealth Systems or comparable investment management / reporting software is s a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially related to investment and service industry transactions Meticulous attention to detail combined with a process-oriented mindset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills up and down the organization Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, and meet reporting deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
