Accounting Manager

Executive Recruiter at CoWorx Staffing Services Accounting Manager – Georgetown, MA Overview: Responsible for managing accounting operations within a manufacturing environment Ensures accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance with GAAP Oversees cost accounting and inventory management processes Supervises a team of two accounting professionals Collaborates with operations, supply chain, and management to enhance financial efficiency and performance Key Responsibilities: Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Prepare and post monthly journal entries with accuracy and completeness Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Perform bank and account reconciliations, including intercompany transactions Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reports Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate accounting of business transactions Prepare documentation and schedules for external and internal audits Identify and recommend process and system improvements to enhance efficiency Participate in the transition and optimization of a new ERP system Manage and process weekly payroll Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Experience: 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience Experience in a manufacturing environment (required) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor experience highly preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting Self-starter with a commitment to continuous improvement Working Conditions: Office-based role in Georgetown, MA Occasional travel to Randolph location as needed Salary range: $90,000–$100,000 annually (commensurate with experience) Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, paid time off, short-term incentive bonus program, and tuition reimbursement Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
