In this role, you will help coordinate and organize production process methods and engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.Responsibilities:Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma MethodologyAssumes responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE SavingsEnsures all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulationsDrives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous EngineeringLeverage Lean philosophy to troubleshoot production process issues and develop improvements.Support Lean initiatives, such as: RIEs, JDIs, 9-Step Problem Solving, and/or additional initiatives as required.Manages, develops and improves manufacturing standards including: machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.Create manufacturing process routingsOther duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) and one plus (1+) years relevant work experience.Experience in engineering a manufacturing environment.Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact positively and work in a team environment.Self-motivated and willing to change priorities as needed.Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities for personal and job development.Experience with CAD processes preferred.Familiar with utilizing Lean philosophy.Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer system (i.e., Email, Internet, Microsoft Word Suite, MRP).Ability to quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancingKnowledge of basic design and manufacturing datum development and its effect in manufacturing processesExperienced in using Apriso, Windchill, and MDP to support manufacturing and product data processesAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:$24.78Compensation Type:HourlyIncentive Eligible:NoSales Commission Eligible:NoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
