AWS Data Platform Engineer - AI/ML

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 3 years of applied experience
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, including evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers in safe, effective use
• Knowledge of AWS data management services such as Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, and Lake Formation
• Proficiency in Python or Java and database query languages for application development, debugging, and maintenance in a large corporate environment
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and the software development life cycle
• Preferred: Knowledge of Terraform or other infrastructure-as-a-service technologies
• Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Developer-level certification
• Preferred: Advanced certification in programming languages
• Preferred: Experience with PCI and sensitive-data workloads

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, using creative approaches to build solutions and break down technical problems
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate in coordination with appropriate systems
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity; validate their outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices, and share reusable learnings with the team
• Apply software development life cycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure the software meets design constraints
• Analyze and visualize large, varied data sets and develop reporting to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Identify underlying problems and data patterns, then use those insights to improve coding practices and system architecture
• Contribute as an experienced member of an agile team, delivering technology solutions that support business objectives
