Behavioral Health Clinician - Floater

Position Summary Seeking a clinician with experience in mental health crisis to perform a combination of behavioral health clinical responsibilities, including enrollment assessments to MHC services and therapy with consumers. This role will provide enrollment and therapy services remotely via telephone and telehealth, and will conduct in‑person therapy when needed for continuity of care. Responsibilities Perform enrollment process for individuals referred to MHC, evaluate needs for all service lines (Care Management, Medication Management, Therapy), and complete all enrollment assessment documentation to organizational standards. Disposition consumer to appropriate external resources when ineligible for MHC services. Identify individuals needing crisis services rather than routine intake and facilitate crisis intervention when appropriate. Assist in resolving grievances received from a consumer regarding referral. Provide quick access to care through high responsiveness and proactive engagement with eligible individuals and referral partners. Utilize Intake Committee for consumers who meet criteria involving a history of violence, sexual crimes, or serious criminal activity; contact consumer with the decision. Engage in therapy with consumers experiencing serious and persistent mental illness, serious emotional disturbances, substance abuse, suicidality, relationship issues, and other stressors. Utilize evidence‑based therapeutic modalities to counsel consumers and their supports via individual, parent/caregiver, and group sessions to help overcome challenges, develop coping skills, and improve outcomes. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with consumers based on clinical experience and knowledge. Learn about new developments in the field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, and establishing and maintaining contact with community partners. Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and consumers’ progress toward defined objectives. Refer consumers or family members to community resources or specialists as necessary. Meet with families, clinic providers, care managers, and other team members to collaborate on consumer goals and improve outcomes. Collaborate with staff, primary care practice partners, pediatricians, doctors, nurse practitioners, office staff, and referral sources to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans. Meet productivity standards as indicated by department goals. Other Responsibilities Attend all mandatory in‑services, continuing education, and annual health requirements. Comply with all Corporate Compliance policies, practices, and procedures; report all unethical activities to the supervisor, Corporate Compliance Office, Values Hotline, or Human Resource Director. Comply with all OSHA and safety policies, practices, and procedures; report unsafe practices or accidents to the supervisor, Safety Supervisor, and/or OSHA Coordinator. Comply with regulations concerning the privacy and security of consumer’s protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide leadership through example and sharing of knowledge and skill. Follow all policies and procedures set by the agency. Essential Skills and Experience Master’s degree (M.A., M.S.) in a mental health field. Licensed or license‑eligible with either LPC/MHSP, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee. Essential Requirements Valid Tennessee driver’s license. Acceptable motor‑vehicle report (MVR).
