Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. You will interpret technical drawings and blueprints, set up and operate welding equipment, and ensure that all welds meet quality and safety standards while working collaboratively to support production goals.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand project requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, in accordance with specifications and safety guidelines.
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components and structures.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and overall quality, making necessary adjustments to meet standards.
• Use grinding tools to prepare, finish, and refine welded parts as required.
• Work with materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and flux core wire to produce high-quality welds.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, following established safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and support a smooth workflow.
• Identify and communicate any issues with materials, equipment, or drawings to ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by sharing ideas to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with TIG welding.
• Hands-on experience with MIG welding.
• Ability to operate welding equipment and tools effectively and safely.
• Experience using grinding tools for preparation and finishing of welded components.
• Ability to work with stainless steel, carbon steel, and flux core processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality welds.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform welding tasks and lift heavy materials as needed.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills in a production environment.

Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled facility designed for comfort and consistency throughout the year. This position operates on a second shift schedule from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. The environment is production-focused, with regular use of MIG and TIG welding equipment, grinding tools, and related fabrication tools, and emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

This is a Permanent position based out of Shepherdsville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
